Coping?

I haven't blogged over the last week or so. I haven't really been coping with my anxiety and PPD. Everything has been getting to me and I've just needed some time to myself and taking myself out of certain situations and away from social media as much as I physically can. I'm starting to feel loads better so I should be back to blogging over the next couple of days!

Bullet Journal Beginnings

I posted earlier today that I would post photos and an insight into my bullet journal. There are so many things I want to add in but for now I'm very happy with its progress.

I did some googling and searching on Pinterest and put together various bits that I wanted to see in my bullet journal. I also did some searching on fonts etc that would make my journal look really good! I have borrowed a few ideas from other bloggers and pinners as I thought they were really good ideas! They can be found really easily by searching on Google and Pinterest for 'Bullet Journal'.

This is my Bullet Journal so far. What do you think?

Back to Blogging

I've had about a week away from blogging and during that time I've mainly battling my anxiety. I still am.

I have found the one thing that really helped was getting started on my bullet journal. I've had so much fun with this so far! I'll post later on with some images of what I have included so far.

I'm really glad I am back to blogging again. How have you been?

Jumping on the Bullet Journal Bandwagon

After seeing so many bloggers starting up Bullet Journals and speaking so highly about them I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and give it a go!

I had a look through a lot of posts trying to decide what book and which pens to use. I have to admit, I'm a Sharpie lover and I will probably end up using my Sharpies at some point through the journal as well as some sparkly gel pens I already own. However, I did purchase some pens specifically for my bullet journal. I headed on over to Amazon and opted for the Staedtler Triplus Fineliner set of 20 as the colours are just beautiful and they seem to have very good reviews across the board of stationery and bullet journal bloggers that I have read.

I also purchased a notebook. I chose the Leuchtturm 1917 in Navy. I chose this because a) there weren't many notebooks that did squared or dotted pages which was what I was ultimately after. And b) because, again, after reading reviews from other bloggers this very much seemed to be the right option. I went for Navy because for my first journal I wanted a classic colour. Although Leuchtturm do some really beautiful colours (I really liked Cornflower, Emerald and Berry) I though it would be nice to have something plain, simple and classic and navy fit the bill perfectly!

I haven't started my journal yet but I'll post updates as I go along and let you know how I get on! If you are thinking about starting a bullet journal or if you know nothing about bullet journals and are sat reading this like I'm a crazy person, then head on over to the Bullet Journal website for info on how the whole thing started and for tips on how to get started yourself! If you also go onto Pinterest and search for 'Bullet Journal', there are LOADS (and I mean LOADS) of ideas on there too. I've just started a board for all the interesting things I find about bullet journals - you can see my board here.

Have you started a bullet journal? How are you getting on?

#TeamCap

Last night was date night. My mum and dad had my little boy while me and my boyfriend went for a meal and to the cinema. We had originally.  planned to go to our local Harvester for a meal but it was very busy and we would have missed our movie so instead decided to go to Nandos instead as both places are right next to the cinema.

After our meal we headed to Cineworld to watch the new Captain America film, Captain America: Civil War. I have seen the previous 2 CA films and the first Avengers film. My boyfriend had also seen the second Avengers film as well as Antman. There were a few references to each of the films but nothing that meant the story was difficult to follow. Prior to the release of the film, there was a hashtag going around to choose which 'Team' you wanted to side with - #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan. Before going to see the film we both picked teams. As you can guess by the title of this post I was of course #TeamCap while my boyfriend was #TeamIronMan. I won't say anything about who won because I don't want to give away too many spoilers in this post!

One of my favourite scenes shows Steve Rogers running after Bucky who is taking off in a helicopter. Steve grabs hold of the helicopter and pulls it back (just look at those muscles!). I also really loved the addition of Spiderman (despite the fact I am not a fan of Spiderman at all) and Paul Rudd as Antman. Both added a comedy aspect to the film and there were several laugh out loud moments.

All in all it was an amazing film with action from start to finish. There were so many parts where I was on the edge of my seat too! I can't wait for the next movie! It seems the next Avengers movie is due for release in 2018 and is entitled Infinity War Part 1.

Do you plan on seeing the film if you haven't already? If so, remember to stay for mid-credits and post-credits scenes!

Not What I Had Planned!

Of all the things I had thought about doing this Bank Holiday weekend, how I have actually spent it has not been in any of those thoughts. Saturday started with a bit of a pamper session for me as I went out to Cute Tips in Shrewsbury to have my nails done. I had French acrylics with a glitter gel polish on top. I'm super pleased with how they turned out and I'm hoping that it'll help me grow my natural nails a little bit!

After a quick wonder around town I headed home to pick up my little boy to head round to my mums for a bit of company while my boyfriend headed off to work. My poor little boy wasn't exactly himself when we first got there but I put this down to teething. As the afternoon went on he gradually got worse until I decided I wasn't happy with how he was breathing. After calling Shropdoc (Shropshire out of hours doctor), paramedics came out to check him over and suggested we go out to Princess Royal Hospital in Telford to be checked out by a Paediatric Doctor (we got to ride in an Ambulance!). All in all my poor baby was poked and prodded by at least 3 different Doctors. Each one was amazing and took on board what we were telling them. Several examinations, checks and a chest x-ray later, we were told he has a chest infection and were given some paracetamol, ibuprofen and antibiotics and finally sent home.

He seems loads better today, very much appears to be back to himself. If he seems even better in the morning, we are going to head out in to town (I haven't decided whether to go into Shrewsbury or Telford yet) and go to Clarks and get my boy his first pair of shoes!

How are your Bank Holiday weekends going so far? Have they gone according to plan?
